We’re off and running — at least for now.
It won’t be long, hopefully, before we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief and whisper:
“Thank God that’s over.”
Really.
Is that it?
What about: the egregious loss of lives, the discussion(s) about the waning environment, the meaning of work and what it — the meaning of our lives — is all about?
Who cares about any of that stuff? The sooner we consign CV19 to the annals of history and write it off, as we’ve done with so many things, the better.
I’m not so sure. I think we’ll be living with CV19 for very much longer than we think. And it’s got plans for us — or at least it’s a way of the Gods reminding us…wait for it…that we’re human.
But it’s Tuesday, and for me at least, time to strap myself to the wheel of (work) fortune that has made up so many days and nights over these past 40 years. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to wrestling my inner demons right now. But it’s not forever — right! Nothing is; and that’s all I need, and a fair, contemplative wind, to keep me moving forward (it’s not like I’ve a choice).
