“Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it.” — Eckhart Tolle
What are you doing?
Is all your attention focused on the task at hand?
When I say “all” I mean 100%. Not 80%. (Try to follow you mind.)
Imagine a world where we didn’t deviate or allow ourselves to be distracted by negative thinking (the inner critic etc.) but instead gave each task, object and experience 100%. (And that includes this post!)
As I move into the second half of my life, what’s clear to me is how little we need, but how little attention we give things.
If (spiritual) awakening is coming alive to who and what we are, then being present 100% is probably the only recipe you need.
Everything else is…well, faux.
Try it: give yourself 100% to what you have in front of you — chop wood, carry water as they say in Zen.
I love life… when I fall fully into this moment.
PS. I’m going to write more on this subject.
