The meaning of work – Julian Summerhayes

“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it”
― Gautama Buddha

Work is dull.

In fact, for many people it’s worse than that — it’s slowly killing them (from the inside out).

More than a few drops of ink have been spilled tearing apart the whole passion, purpose and mastery thing but, in the end, if you don’t love what you do then it counts for nothing.

But loving what you do means often risking everything.

And, of course, that’s where it breaks down…particularly when you’re entwined with the money imperative.

For the record, I’m in the Alan Watts camp: What would you do if money was no object?
