Things that have shaped my life:
Living in South Africa (1975-77).
Falling head over in heels in love with Allison.
The birth of the my three children.
Losing my uncle, Adrian, to a brain tumour.
Losing my mother-in-law, Anita, to cancer.
Suffering a subarachnoid haemorrhage.
Leaving law (2010).
Starting my 2nd business aged 43.
Finding a voice.
But, through all the ups and downs, I have never lost my thirst for life. What has sustained me, apart from the obvious, is my innate curiosity, staying true to my values and wanting to learn something new every day.
Right now, I couldn’t be happier. I have found a place where my zest for the climb has focus. In the past, I felt lost as a person: “Who am I?”
I know that each person is fighting their own battle, and whilst I can’t say that I win mine every day, I know that I am better equipped now than I have ever been.
