“Peace is always beautiful.” ― Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass
We know what we’ve got to do.
And yet, we fester, lament and procrastinate, and, in the process, slowly die…one tragic day after another.
Look around you.
What do you see?
A world of opportunity (…always beginner’s mind); but, of course, we label everything either ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and never see things as they are.
Remove the labels, live fully in the moment — the essence of mindfulness — and right there you’ll see the world (your conditioned world) through a new pair of glasses.
Tip: if you haven’t already started a journal, then I strongly suggest you do. Simply writing down your thoughts as they flow through you, can make you realise how much you’re conditioned to believe one thing over another. There are many questions you can ask in the process, but “Is it true?” is a pretty good place to start.
