Silence is misunderstood.
To most people, it seems anti-social.
But, silence is incredibly restorative: it (deeply) nourishes the soul.
You don’t need to seek the great outdoors. Even in our great Cities, there are quiet places where you can explore silence.
If I had a plea though it is simply that we shouldn’t default to silence only in times of stress or difficulty. It should be an everyday experience.
As you do with every other aspect of your life, make time for silence, and don’t be corrupted by thinking that you have to be busy of mind and body to be alive.
