“Follow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.” — Peter F. Drucker
How much time each day do you spend sitting quietly?
And when I say quietly, I don’t just mean avoiding exterior noise or distraction.
No, I mean an interior quietude.
We’re quick to talk about our addiction to alcohol or tobacco, but how many people are willing to admit they’re addicted to noise?
Whether it’s meditation or finding an open space, we all know it far more likely we’ll connect to something real within us and not to be chasing the next fix.
Think about your holiday experiences. Yes, they can be frenetic at times, but normally it’s the moments of quiet that changes us. Or at least that’s how it’s been for me.
If we’re all made or broken by our habits, perhaps it’s time we made a space each day to connect with our higher self in silence.
